DESCRIPTION:

How sweet it is to give your horse an awesome grooming, step back and see the visual fruits of your labor. A glowing coat and silky mane and tail is a wondrous thing to behold. Your elbow grease pays off in spades as you behold the vision of perfection before you. Except for one thing… Uggg, like a beacon of defeat, there it is, the bane of your existence: Cannon Bone Crud that just won’t come all the way off no matter what you do. So you ignore it, pretend you don’t see it and tell yourself it’s not that noticeable. There is something you can do to get rid of it though. Apply Equiderma Skin Lotion, walk away, come back tomorrow and wash it off. Overnight the Equiderma Skin Lotion will go to work and with a good shampooing it’ll be gone ~ ALL GONE. It’s as easy as that. Cannon keratosis is a skin issue that affects the front of the rear cannon bones. It can also be found on the face and ears. It presents in two ways, dry scurfy, scaly skin, or black and tarry with hair loss over the front of the cannon on both hind legs. It’s exact cause is not known. There is no breed, age or gender predisposition, so it is not as simple as urine splashing up onto the fronts of the cannons in male horses. Cannon keratosis occurs more frequently in the “thin-skinned” breeds. In most cases, the condition is not irritating to the horse and just appears as scurfy and greasy to scabby area on the front of the lower legs. Rarely, the condition worsens and the affected area becomes swollen, painful or oozing. This is likely caused by a bacterial infection of the damaged, compromised skin.

TREATMENT:

Apply Equiderma Skin Lotion. Do not rub or pick or make any effort whatsoever to remove the crud. Come back tomorrow and wash your horses legs. Rinse and observe clean, crud free legs. Reapply a light coating of Equiderma Skin Lotion, step back and smile. Problem solved…
